After retiring from dentistry in 2024, Dr. Richard Fitzgerald missed the daily joy of crafting perfect smiles. Eager to help, he joined Elmwood Dental part-time to support the practice while their primary dentist was recovering from surgery. With a knack for cosmetic dentistry, he’s thriving in a warm, family-friendly environment, working alongside the kindest, most welcoming team he’s ever met in a vibrant neighborhood. Every day, Dr. Fitzgerald brings his expertise and enthusiasm to create confident, happy smiles for our patients!
Meet Dr. LaDijah “DJ” Shivers! Dr. DJ is Omaha’s crown jewel of dentistry, coming all the way from Oklahoma City, OK. Spinning smiles at Elmwood Dental, she crafts perfect grins with pain-free root canals, custom crowns, and a flair for patient comfort. From emergency fixes to school talks, Dr. DJ’s passion for healthy mouths shines, backed by her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Creighton University School of Dentistry and cutting-edge tech skills.
Before mixing beats in the dental world, she was a mentoring maestro at Philander Smith University, dropping knowledge on financial literacy and biology with electric energy. Certified in nitrous oxide, CPR, and BLS, this biology grad isn’t just filling cavities—she’s filling communities with confidence and pearly-white joy! Outside of dentistry, Dr. DJ enjoys spending time with her husband and their 2 year old daughter. As your dentist, she is dedicated to giving you the highest quality and personalized care.
